The beginning of my blue study. This marks my introduction to it within my ceramic practice in finding a combination that is reminiscent of denim. This study represents a deeper connection to materials, memory, and labor within African American history.

A deep black, almost ink-like glaze with white speckling on the exterior and deeper pools of white on the interior. This is a darker variation of Live Oak. Materially, it connects to my sculptural and print work. Emotionally, it signifies where I’ve been—and the light that exists within us all.

A mossy, greenish-brown exterior with a sometimes speckled white interior. This colorway feels deeply personal to me. It reminds me of my childhood at my grandparents’ house—the moss hanging from the trees on early foggy mornings, dew still settled on the grass.

Moss is a variation of Live Oak — lighter, softer, and more atmospheric. Where Live Oak feels grounded and rooted, Moss carries the sense of growth layered above it. Both forms share the same structure while offering different perspectives of the same place.

Color is selected by the artist and may extend beyond the current release. Each piece reflects the materials and glazes present in the studio at the time of making.
